Really yummy sandwiches with great ingredients and even better bread. The staff was really nice and helpful and overall a great choice when you are really craving a sandwich. I got the Italian combo and absolutely loved it.

$14 for a sandwich? Better give me some caviar with that for $14. Some luh-me longtime or sumpn'.

This place is awesome! Great, huge, sandwiches! Not overpriced,because 1 sandwich can make 2 meals! Old school, will be back for sure. I love local eateries like this!

Came up here to Arcata to hang out at the beach with my girlfriend. Tried this place. It's not bad. Wished the sandwiches were wrapped a little better tho. Since they were just twisted up whole carrying them a half fell into the sand. Maybe get some stickers and learn a better technique that keeps the sandwiches in the wrap .

Ordered two Cobb sandwiches. Little pricey $11.95 for an 8 inch, very tasty, made to my liking, basic condiments. So the only issue sandwich makers washed hands in front of us, but my concern they were not wearing gloves! Only okay at the moment due to view of handwashing..

It has "Great Sandwiches" in the name for a reason. Friendly workers, great selection, and always packed but still fast service. Now the price is a bit higher than some basic sandwich places, however these sandwiches taste quality and are not the most expensive around. Fantastic.

I have Lived in Humboldt for over 30 years, and Arcata Hole N the wall, has never let me down! Thank you guys for keeping us Humboldt eaters oh so Happy! And full.

Still the best sandwiches in town. Sandwiches are huge and a little pricey, but very much worth it. A must for every time I come through town.

This little sandwich shop has a twin location in Eureka. This is the better of the two, if you ask me. More seating available here, and the vibe is nicer in Arcata.Pretty straightforward place: sandwiches on order. Cold, hot, a variety of sauces and meats, and configurations. Quality ingredients, and the staff seems to know what they're doing.

A blast from the past, I have eaten hole in the wall sandwiches thirty years ago when they were in crescent City. Still make a fine sandwich 😋

My man took me to this place and I'm in love😍. We went on a Monday it was my first time. The sandwiches are delish I will have to return on Friday to try the dungeness crab sandwich. We ate there it was a really nice day out. Now that I'm at home I wish I would've gotten one to Go. Definitely a new favorite place for me.

Delicious giant sandwiches :) Very friendly staff. Please please please start accepting credit cards. We were buying 4 sandwiches and that's a lot of cash. Eureka location accepts credit cards.As soon as this location accepts credit cards, this is a 5 star review.

The sandwiches here are never as good as the the one in Eureka. And the sandwiches are always smaller and don’t seem to be as fresh. Service is slow.

I used to grab a sandwich here when I was a student at HSU in 1991-1992, so I was glad to see they are still in business. Cute venue & a fantastic variety of sandwiches from build-your-own to specialities. Dine outside & people watch on a beautiful sunny day. Great selection of chips & beverages, too.

Went here and got 2 sandwiches. Waited 40 minutes and didn't get the order right. Next time I'm driving to eureka. Never have a problem there.

I used to be a vegetarian until I came across this amazing-highest quality store.....I must admit that it was worth it but I only do it there. Their crab sandwich on Fridays is out of this galaxy
